In stretching to attain goals, in some instances, I might want to subscribe to a slow-but-consistent effort for progress.
It’s slow but it’s progressive.
This is a valuable navigator for people who by overthinking remain in inertia. Slower progress is progress. Inaction is not. Frankly, the result of little effort accumulates overtime.
You would agree with me that at rest, our mind sometimes absentmindedly reflects on how productive the day has been. Those thoughts inform our reward system that either motivates us to do stuff or defaults to the usual regrets.
Other: A tiny hack. The brain and the zero-distraction system.
Little-to-much.
Trick your brain by doing little. This little action creates a reward system that a “lazy” mind subscribes to. Repeat the process again at intervals. When the efforts accumulate and results in a completed task, your reward system is boosted to do more.
The goldmine here is to always remember that you can salvage yourself from inaction and just DO, maybe a little, and another little, then escalate from there. It is like building a momentum by taking mini-steps that fulfills the greater goal. This is better because progress is progress. Inaction is not.
Cheers. Compliments of the Season 🎄.
